The scientific and practical conference titled \u201cMethods of Protecting the Rights of Creditors and Debtors in Bankruptcy Proceedings, and Their Effectiveness\u201d brought together approximately 200 participants. Among them were judges from three levels of courts, members of parliament, representatives of the Ministry of Justice, the State Tax Service, and the banking sector, as well as bankruptcy trustees, academics, and international experts.<\/p>\n

Our organization was represented at the event by Olena Fonova, a judge and spokesperson for the Commercial Court of Luhansk Oblast and co-founder of the NGO \u201cPro Justice.\u201d
\nConference participants discussed key challenges in the field of bankruptcy under martial law and legislative amendments, particularly the introduction of a preventive restructuring procedure effective January 1, 2025. It was noted that recommendations from previous conferences have already formed the basis for legislative changes, confirming the practical value of such meetings.<\/p>\n

Panel discussions covered the following issues:
\n– problematic aspects of initiating proceedings and reviewing creditors\u2019 claims;
\n– tax obligations;
\n– liability of debtors and insolvency administrators;
\n– specifics of the activities of credit unions and budgetary institutions;
\n– digitalization of bankruptcy and the timeliness of procedures;
\n– ensuring a balance of interests among the parties.<\/p>\n

The conference served as a platform for the exchange of experiences among judges, legislators, practitioners, and academics with the aim of improving the bankruptcy system in Ukraine.<\/p>\n
