On May 30, 2024, the III Odesa Legal Business Forum was held, at which Valeriy Prytulyak represented the NGO LCC “Pro Justice”. He took part in the session “Mastermind: Mediation as a Means of Overcoming the Crisis” and delivered a presentation on mediation in enforcement proceedings. Mr. Valeriy focused on the algorithms for applying mediator’s skills, explaining in detail how mediation can be effectively used at the stage of judicial review of private enforcement officers’ submissions. He revealed the mechanisms of enforcement of court decisions and control over the activities of the executor, emphasizing the importance of mediation in these processes. Mr. Valeriy also touched upon the use of mediation in the process of consideration of complaints against the actions of the executor in the disciplinary commission of private executors. This is a key aspect, as the effective resolution of such complaints can significantly improve the functioning of the executive service and reduce the level of conflict situations. Mr. Valeriy paid special attention to legislative initiatives to amend the law on enforcement proceedings. He emphasized the importance of introducing the mediation procedure as a separate, independent stage in the enforcement proceedings. Such changes can improve the efficiency of court decisions enforcement and contribute to a more harmonious settlement of disputes. We are confident that such events contribute to the exchange of experience and knowledge, as well as further professional development of the legal community in Ukraine.
