The NGO MEC “Pro Justice” welcomes the European Parliament’s resolution of January 23, 2025, which condemns the systematic falsification of historical facts by the Russian regime to justify its aggression against Ukraine.

The document contains a number of important provisions, in particular:
🔹 Rejection of Russia’s attempts to undermine Ukraine’s national identity by distorting history.
🔹 Condemnation of Russia’s failure to recognize the crimes of the Soviet regime.
🔹 Calling on the EU to more actively counter Russian disinformation.
🔹 Expanding sanctions against pro-Kremlin media outlets that spread propaganda.
🔹 Supporting independent Russian-language media in exile.

The NGO MEC “Pro Justice” supports the initiatives of the European Parliament aimed at protecting historical truth, developing media literacy and strengthening democratic values. We believe this is an important step in the fight against disinformation and preservation of historical memory.
