Over 200 legal professionals, judges, business representatives, and academics gathered for the 8th Eastern Ukrainian Forum, organized by the Ukrainian Bar Association on June 6 in Dnipro.
The key topics:
- Legal challenges during wartime – compensation for damages, operation of the Register, and the “eRecovery” program.
- AI in legal practice – available tools and ethical challenges.
- Modern approaches to bankruptcy – balancing the interests of creditors and debtors in times of turbulence.
Legal AI: Tools and Prospects
The panel discussion “AI in Legal Practice: Tools, Cases, and Prospects” featured Andriy Ryshchenko, judge of the Dnipro District Administrative Court, SCLA Global Forum speaker, and co-founder of NGO IC “Pro Justice”, and Roman Chumak, attorney and head of NGO IC “Pro Justice”.
Roman Chumak demonstrated how the legal position database of the Supreme Court and Supreme Observer save hours of daily work: automated search of relevant case law and monitoring deviations from Supreme Court positions significantly improve the accuracy and quality of legal document preparation.
Forum participants concluded that AI does not replace lawyers – it enhances their work: automating repetitive tasks, deepening analysis, and freeing up time for strategic decision-making.
We are grateful to all participants for their consideration! Much more discussion on the future of the legal profession lies ahead.
