On December 6, Lviv hosted a roundtable discussion on the Rule of Law and Judicial Ethics in Judicial Training: Challenges and Tasks in the Context of European Integration. The event was organized by the EU Project “Pravo-Justice” together with the National School of Judges of Ukraine. During the event, participants discussed the integration of European standards into the judicial training system. The main topics included the development of modern judicial ethics curricula, creation of an interactive online course, and ways to ensure integrity in the judiciary. The program included presentations, panel discussions, and exchange of experience between experts.

Representatives of international organizations, judges, and experts on judicial ethics and the rule of law joined the discussion. Marta Mochulska, a member of the NGO MEC Pro Justice, presented her own vision of implementing best practices in judicial education. Particular attention was paid to strengthening public confidence in the judiciary, the importance of ethical behavior and adherence to the principle of legal predictability. The participants also focused on the prospects for harmonizing judicial education in Ukraine with European standards. The event ended with the agreement of recommendations for improving judicial training and outlining plans for further cooperation in the framework of Ukraine’s European integration processes.
